What’s New for 2014

As we blast into 2014, I thought I’d give you all a quick update and what’s going to be happening this year.

First off, I’m going to be working hell for leather on my novel and I am going to finish the first draft by the middle of the year at the latest. Then I’ll be setting about editing and so on, before hopefully getting it out to you so can read it. I like the story and I want you to like it too, so that’s number 1 top priority.

Meanwhile, I’ve got plenty that you can read right away. I’ll be attempting to have a Friday flash fiction at least every two weeks, if not more often. This way, you’ll have lots to devour whilst I chip away at the novel and it’ll give me a space to tell you some more stories.

I have a few series planned as well. Tornmile will return as promised this year, though as yet I don’t know when. It may well be after the first draft of the novel is complete, but it will definitely return this year. I’m hoping also to release it in the same way and possible also on Kindle as an episodic. Watch the Tornmile page for news. I also have an idea to write more stories from H G Wells’ The War of the Worlds. These will explore the stories of other people affected by the coming of the Martians and their conquering of our planet. I’m not sure as yet when that’ll happen or what form that will take, but I’m excited about doing it sometime this year and I want it here as a record so I don’t forget it. If I’m feeling particularly prolific, I’ll also try to adapt my sci-fi spy story that was one of the options for NaNoWriMo as an episodic here on the blog. I’m also toying with a further 5 part run of The Strength of the Pack.

I’ve got some plays that need writing too, and I’ll be trying to finish the series Coffee & TV. I aim to get some of my short scripts filmed this year and uploaded onto YouTube for you all to look at, because I have many talented acting type friends who can make my words sparkle.

So there’ll be a plethora of content from me, as well as some more insights into my life and world. But more importantly, I’ll also be running a series of author interviews as a regular feature. The first four of which are lined up, and more will follow. If you happen to be interested in being interviewed then don’t hesitate to get in touch.

So, plenty to see in 2014. Can’t wait to get started. Happy New Year!
