Poetry

I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember, though I started to focus on it more as a teenager. Since then I have changed and defined my style, though I still experiment with forms from time to time. Sometimes they wander into my head almost fully formed and other times they have to be coaxed into position, but it very much depends on what I’m trying to write. What I like about poetry is the way it can communicate so much about human existence in such a small amount of words (I’m not a huge fan of long poetry), and that it has a universality that’s hard to argue with.

What I tend to write about is love (which I suppose is the same for all poets to a certain extent) but anything that inspires me will get written about. My first volume of poetry was released on 15 February 2012, and is entitled Three Worlds. Below are a few poems as a sample of my work.
